They contrast with the surrounding cliffs which are white. White beach can only be reach by boat.

MORE ABOUT SANTORINI
Take A Sailing Trip
You cannot truly appreciate the beauty of Santorini when you witness it from the sea. The massive sea cliffs are mesmerizing. Plus on a sailing trip, you can go snorkelling, visit some hidden beaches, and have a swim in the hot springs. There are several boat tours around Santorini and you can also book in advance. We suggest a sunset cruise for some of the best caldera views.
Watch Sunset Over The Blue Domes
This place is usually crowded but by the time blue hour hit, most people are gone and you can experience the best views and enjoy. Watching the sunset in Oia is a must to do on your trip to Santorini. Oia Castle is definitely the most popular photo point in Oia where you want to escape the worst of the crowds and get the iconic blue domes in your photos.
Three Bells Of Fira
The drive from Fira to Oia is about 45 minutes and goes through the mountains and all going up. There is very limited parking in Oia but still tourist manage to visit the spot. The Three Bells of Fira is part of the iconic church that is often used in pictures and is very photgenic.
Shopping In Fira
Fira is by far the busiest of towns in Santorini with cruise ships coming in here at the port and passengers taking the gondola or doing donkey rides up from the water. The shops, ranging from clothing apparel to shoes, jewellery, and books, are located in Fira (Thira) and Oia.
