A cheap family holiday to the Costa Blanca is one of the most preferred destination and  includes a trip to one of the largest waterparks in Europe, The Aqualandia. Other resorts in the Costa Blanca are Calpe, a bustling old town boasts a beautiful fishing harbour surrounded by traditional restaurants and clean sandy beaches ideal for watersports and families. A trip to Alicante is also a popular excursion, to sample the rich history of the city and many fiestas and festivals to sample the local cultural traditions.

Whilst on holiday in the Costa Blanca there’s plenty to keep all the family entertained. The liveliest holiday resort on the Costa Blanca is most definitely Benidorm. Once a tiny fishing village Benidorm now offers every kind of entertainment imaginable. Karaoke, bingo and live shows can all be found at the resort and there are countless bars and clubs open until the early hours ranging from British pubs to trendy nightclubs. The old harbour in Benidorm has many traditional tapas bars and typical British food from fish and chips to Sunday roasts can be found in nearly every restaurant.

MORE ABOUT COSTA BLANCA

Visit The City Centre
Visit The City Centre

Not so long ago, Benidorm was just a small fishing village; the historical centre that can be visited today is quite small compared to the dimensions of the areas built in more recent years. The main monuments and points of interest are enclosed by a few streets in the most elevated part of the town. They sit on a cliff that separates Playa the Levante and Playa de Poniente.

This is the most panoramic spot in the town centre; around Plaza Santa Ana, (the main square in the casco antiguo) there are several viewpoints from where you can take the perfect picture of the coast. The most spectacular are the Mirador del Castillo and the Balcón del Mediterraneo located right on the cliff’s edge, just a few steps south of Plaza Santa Ana.

Aqua Parks
Aqua Parks

Benidorm offers plenty of opportunities to have fun on, under and around the water. The beaches in the resort and its marina have many nautical centres offering all kind of equipment available for sports lovers: sailing and motorboats, kayaks, canoes, SUP, surf and fishing or diving gear.

If you prefer more leisure-oriented activities, you can rent a boat or a jet ski, as well as book a fun ride on a banana boat, fly fish or water ski. If you feel more adventurous, you should try paragliding (70€ for a 15 minutes flight) or cable skiing (21€ for one hour). If you're travelling with friends, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a boat party (prices start from around 65€ per person with an open bar and party on a catamaran).

Costa Blanca Beaches
Costa Blanca Beaches

During your Costa Blanca holiday, a day at the beach cannot be missed! Visit one of the many beaches on this beautiful coast. One of the most popular beaches is the Levante beach in Benidorm which is great for sailing, jet skiing and paragliding. It is also Blue Flag recognised, so very safe and extremely family friendly.

The White Coast stretches over 200km of beaches. All are located in the Alicante province which enjoys a warm, balmy Mediterranean climate. Let's start the countdown of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca.

Spend all day on this beach, soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal clear water. With a pedestrianised promenade that runs along the top of this Blue-Flag beach and lifeguards present all year round, its a great option for a family holiday on the Costa Blanca.

Night Life
Night Life

The main areas for nightlife in Benidorm are the strip of Levante Beach which goes down the beach, “The Square” around Avenida Mallorca, Old Town Benidorm, and the huge dance clubs on the main road just outside of Benidorm that goes towards the city of Valencia.

The Valenciana Avenue running towards Altea is known as the ‘Top Road Clubs’. It is the area of the largest discos, nightclubs and the after hours. Some of the seafront discos have their XL club version, like ‘Penelope’, ‘KU’ and ‘KM’. They are orientated for those who chose to carry on dancing once the beach ones close.

The locals normally come to this area on festive dates like, New Years eve or other events and concerts, especially in summer. Drinks are around €12-13 each and the music is House and Electronic.
